downtown hound is committed to providing the best dog daycare and boarding experience in the Boise area. This means we require that all of our clients comply with the following policies to ensure the health and safety of your pet and of our other guests.

Evaluation
All of our dogs and their owners are required to participate in an initial evaluation. During our evaluation your dog will be tested for attitude and basic handling (paws, ears, mouth and handling of body). All dogs must pass our evaluation to assure that they are people- and dog- friendly. Please contact us in advance to schedule your 30-35 minute evaluation and facility tour.

Age
All dogs must be at least 4 months of age or older. Puppies and recently adopted dogs must be in the home for 4 weeks prior to coming to daycare or boarding.

Sex
All dogs over the age of 6 months must be neutered or spayed.

Health
Dog must be current in the following vaccinations: distemper/parvo, rabies (by six months of age) and bordatella (required semi-annually). All dogs must be in good health. Owners will need to certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill in the last 30 days. On admission all dogs must be free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize the health and safety of other dogs. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health in order to be admitted or readmitted. Once admitted, please alert staff to any change in your dog's health that requires medication, even if Luckydog is not required to administer it. If your dog is not feeling well, i.e. vomiting or diarrhea, please do not bring him/her to day or night care.

Minimum Commitment
Our healthy and safe dog daycare environment is a result of dogs getting to know each other during repeated visits. This occurs by reducing the stress of meeting new and unfamiliar dogs every day, no different from the increased comfort level you feel once you become more familiar with new friends.

Behavior
Owners will need to certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behavior towards any person or other dog(s). Dogs that exhibit any aggressive behavior or show signs of excessive stress will be removed from the open play environment and staff will discuss options or alternatives to daycare.

Collars and Harnesses
All dogs must have a quick release collar with a name tag.
